The Route

The Greenway at High Street, Stratford
The Greenway at High Street, Stratford

The route has been planned with safety in mind. All major road crossing points are pedestrian controlled lights, or subways. There may be crossings on minor roads that are not controlled by lights or have a zebra crossing etc.

The towpath and Greenway paths can present some problems. There are steep steps up and down to the Greenway, with inclines as alternatives in most cases.

There is one pub on the routeThe Top Of The Morning, Victoria Park. Just after the pub we stop at a corner shop in Parnell Road. There are brief scheduled stops.

Note that this walk is expected to last three hours, and there will be more walking than talking. There are "break points" such as High Street Statford, where a return to the House Mill is possible or to take a bus onwards or homewards.
